PHOTOSYNTHESIS

Article:
SciFed Journal of Plant physiology is an international online open access and peer reviewed journal.
Photosynthesis is a plant auto trophic function that utilizes carbon dioxide and water to produces carbohydrate, oxygen and energy. For natural phenomena to happen two essential conditions are first presence of solar radiation and second one chlorophyll. Cloudy days and nights stop photosynthesis; plant productivity is accordingly controlled by the environment interaction of solar light. Thus, extension of duration of bright Sun shine hour is practically not feasible by simple means. However, there is scope to increase efficiency of utilization of solar radiation induced photosynthesis by fortifying the chlorophyll of growing plant canopy. Studies have revealed that nitrogen (macro), zinc and sulphur (micro nutrients) have strong influence on building chlorophyll, essential factor in the photosynthesis. Objective of this study was to analyze the mechanism and develop means to foster development of chlorophyll to ultimately enhance yield and supply of oxygen. Total green chemistry (any reaction that does not emit green house gases) of photo synthesis is always remain desirable.

Another important gray chemistry reaction involves nitrogen fixation, which utilizes carbohydrate, water, hydrogen ion and nitrogen gas they produces ammonium and emit CO2 as byproduct. The ammonium is directly absorbed by the root hairs of plants that build chlorophyll.  Thus, zinc, sulphur and organic nitrogen fortify building chlorophyll. This CO2 is again used with water to conduct photosynthesis. Thus, the two process occur simultaneously, at least during day time
